We are starting registrations for volunteers for the 13th edition of the Adopt a House in Roșia Montană program, the 2024 campaign. This year there will be 3 volunteer series of 2 weeks each, in which we will combine practical activities (carpentry, traditional plastering, masonry, pavements, shingles, blacksmithing) with documentary screenings, hikes, presentations on topics related to the built heritage of Roșia Montană, methods of intervention and restoration with traditional means, but also broader topics related to heritage, conservation, history , archeology or other related fields, along with our guests.

We strongly request that before completing the registration form at the bottom of the page, you should fully read the details provided below regarding the context in which the Adopt a House program takes place and the conditions of participation!
Deadline for applications: April 1, 2024. The final selection will be made by May 1st, 2024, when you will receive additional details on participation by email (if you are selected).

► General info related to participation:

• There is no participation fee.
• Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Minor participants must present the written agreement regarding participation from the parent / legal guardian prior to arrival.
• Participation is for a minimum of 12 days (a series). The Monday of the first week is dedicated to the arrival of participants, who are asked to ensure that they arrive by 18:00 on that day. Departure is on Saturday of the second week.
• Participation is voluntary and completing and submitting the registration form to the organizer represents your firm commitment that you will take part in the selected period in our activities in Roșia Montană and your acceptance that the contact data provided will be used for the purpose of communication related to participation in the activities of the program you have signed up for.
  Selected volunteers will be notified by e-mail or phone, on which occasion all information related to access, daily schedule, etc. will be provided. You may receive additional questions or requests for more details during the participant selection stage.
• Accommodation and meals are provided by the organizers in the spaces arranged together with the volunteers of the program in previous campaigns. If there are participants who want to stay separately, we can put you in touch with locals who rent accommodation or you can opt for tent camping – please specify these details on the registration form, taking into account that participants will cover these costs .
• Transportation is borne by the participants. After the selection of the participants, we will organize into groups to arrange the transport and to organize the pick up of the volunteers from Abrud, Câmpeni, Gura Roșiei (depending on each one’s route).
